Lesson no. 6 : back to school snacking

To start the day, to give a little boost in the middle of the afternoon, or simply as a treat, snacks are always present. These little snacks become, with porridge, your allies against hunger pangs, while remaining healthy, good and tasty.

Here are four recipes to teach you how to make these little daily pleasures yourself.

To enjoy at home or at the office without moderation

1. Crunchy cookies by @patthyscupcakesretete

  • 1 cup of 6-seed Turtle Porridge

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 sweet pears

  • 2 tbsp of rye flour

  • 1/2 cup of coconut flakes

  • 1 handful of ground Brazil nuts

  • 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon

Mix all the ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous paste, then place small piles on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Place in the oven for 40 minutes at 160°C.

Let rest a few minutes and enjoy!

2. Tasty energyball by @whatmummymakes

  • 7 tbsp of Chocolate Banana Turtle Porridge

  • 1 tbsp of cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp of peanut butter

  • 7 dried and finely chopped prunes

  • 1 tbsp of honey

  • 1/2 tbsp of ground flax

  • 1 tbsp of fruit puree of your choice

  • 2 tbsp of dried coconut

Mix all the ingredients except the coconut in a bowl. Then roll the formed dough into small balls and coat them in the dried coconut.

3. Pancakes by @madhelenecuisine

  • ¼ cup of Turtle classic oatmeal

  • 3/4 cup of flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 plain yogurt

  • 3 tbsp of melted butter

  • 1 orange

  • 1 kiwi

  • A few whole almonds

  • 1/2 tbsp of baking soda

  • 1 pinch of salt

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the yogurt, then mix in the flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Cook the pancakes in a pan and garnish with fruit and whole or chopped almonds.

4. Cereals bar by @9hostagescoffee

Mix ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Spread on a sheet of parchment paper, making sure to smooth the top of the block. Bake for 30 minutes at 250°C.

Remove the parchment paper from the oven and cut into quarters to make your cereal bars.
