Refreshing breakfast bowls for summer mornings

Turtle has invited certified dietitian - nutritionist Marie Denis and our friends form the delicios organic brand Sienna & Friends to make some gorgeous recipes for us. The result is 3 refreshing breakfasts full of taste, colours and vitamins. All recipes are created by Marie Denis. All recipes are organic, vegan, gluten free and with no refined sugars.

OVERNIGHT OATS

Overnights oats is a summer favourite. Basically, you soak the porridge in milk / yoghurt in the fridge over night (half an hour before breakfast will also work). This gives the a creamy texture to the oats. The result is quite different from the cooked porridge, but just as good: it's a deliciously fresh alternative for hot summer mornings. Sienna & Friends' spice mix is a mix of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cardamome and more. A perfect spice for a cozy breakfast.


Instructions

  • Pour 50g of Turtle Porridge (Raisin & Linseed or 6 Seeds)

  • Add half a tea spoon of Sienna's Spice Mix

  • Add a big spoonful og yoghurt and milk.

  • Mix all ingredients until you get a thick creamy texture. Put in the fridge and let it soak over night.

  • Next morning: Take the bowl out of the fridge. Add a dollop of yoghurt and a dollop of Apricot-Vanilla Jam

  • Cut some fruits and the Raw Snack and add as well.

  • Eat cold, it's delicious!



NICE CREAM BOWL

Nice cream. Do you know it? Basically it's blended frozen fruits. It's so tasty in fact, that I sometimes can't believe how healthy it is.

There is million ways to make nice cream. Mostly yopu use a frozen banana that has been cut in small pieces and frozen. This gives it a smooth ice cream texture and is deliciously sweet. To that you can add any other fruits and berry to get a variation in taste and color. Using a Turtle Power Granola as a topping (or any other Turtle Granola) adds a crunchy bite, but also the good fats that are necessary in order to assimilate the vitamins for the fruits. A winning combination!


Instructions

Blend slightly defrozen strawberries with the banana until the texture is thick and smooth. Pour in a bowl and even the mixture with the back of your spoon. Add a good spoonful of Power Granola, the raspberries and the mint. It's ready.
